Gaudi's buildings

A weekend in Barcelona would be complete without a visit to at least one of the buildings designed by Antoni Gaudi. Below you will find a series of summaries on the most famous buildings of Gaudi and photos for each of them.

Of all the architects, civil engineers, urban planners, Gaudi, more than any other, to apply the saying "think differently". He designed what he imagined in his wildest dreams but are not limited by rules that restrict the imagination of many other designers. His legacy is

unique and almost all of it is in the center of Barcelona. Visit Barcelona without discovering Gaudi would be a cultural crime.

Antoni Gaudi

Antoni Gaudi is considered the most prominent of the "modernists" in Barcelona and one of the most famous architects. His creation (unfinished) "Plaça Sagrada Familia" (often called the Cathedral of Gaudi), is one of the most photographed buildings in the country.

Gaudi was born in 1852 and died 74 years later, in 1926, hit by a tram, but he left Barcelona a legacy of unique structures that have made the city famous, long before the victories of his football team. The names of Barcelona and Gaudi are inextricably linked and influence on Gaudi architecture of this city is similar to that of Haussmann in Paris.

There is much to see Gaudi in Barcelona, but here's a preview summary of his best work. Each abstract reference to a page with detailed pictures. If you spend a weekend in Barcelona, do not miss the opportunity to see one of these unique pieces of functional art.
